Born and raised in East Contra Costa County, Chuck did his undergraduate work at Diablo Valley College and California State University Hayward. From there he went on to the University of California Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. With emphasis in large animal medicine and surgery.

Chuck is an avid outdorsman and when not with his two young children, Alexis 4 and Clayton 3, he can be found either on his 24 foot sport fishing boat in the Sacramento - San Joaquin delta or on horse back in the mountains in search of big game.
